When severe psychiatric illness occurs in young adults 18 to 28 it can be especially devastating to the activities of this developmental phase. Unique challenges arise as a result of the stages of emotional, cognitive, physical, academic and occupational development typical to this age group. OPS provides specific age appropriate medication and clinical interventions to help quickly stabilize symptoms, develop positive coping skills and help minimize the impact of their illness on academic, occupational and relationship goals.
